The Miracle League is a fantastic organization that has genuinely decided to encapsulate the American spirit. By removing the barriers that prevent children and adults with mental and physical disabilities from playing baseball, they provide a truly equal opportunity for all children to participate in America’s favorite pastime. Each player receives help from a non-disabled peer as part of their “buddy” system, a fantastic way for these children and adults to form strong bonds. The teams play on a custom-designed, rubberized turf field that accommodates wheelchairs and other assertive devices.
